Training Aim

This course aims to increase knowledge and understanding of the key principles of the Mental Capacity Act.

Training Objectives

• Understand the background on the Mental Capacity Act 2005
• Increase knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 key principles
• Understand the Mental Capacity Act 2005 Cod of Practice
• Recognise what ‘mental capacity’ means and it is determined
• Understand what is meant by the term ‘Best Interest’
• Knowledge of what is meant by ‘lasting power of attorney’
