    This is an interactive remote training session delivered by one of DDs qualified instructors.

    Training Aim

    To provide an update and raise awareness of the legionella bacteria and how to prevent and control the risks associated.  

    Training Outcomes

    • Improve understanding with regards to the legionella bacteria and how it can cause infection 
    • Awareness of Legionnaires Disease, its history and symptoms  
    • Recognition of what causes of outbreaks and how it can be spread 
    • Understand the need for risk assessment and how to implement control measures 
    • Recognition of legal obligations and regulations 

    Learning Content

    This training session is intended to raise awareness and create an understanding of the legionella bacteria and the basic principles of how to reduce associated risks by implementing standard and transmission-based precautions in a dental setting.
