Silver reinforced glass ionomer. Easy to mix, activated by mixing with water. Radiopaque material which packs like amalgam. Requires minimal cavity preparation. Low thermal conductivity and coefficient of thermal expansion close to that of a tooth. Contains and releases fluoride ions.
